Welcome our Newest Board Members
The Community Foundation of Greenville welcomes Rhonda, Brandy, and Richard - our three newest board members who joined in 2022.
Rhonda Rawlings is the Community Director at Mill Village Ministries. Previously, Rhonda served as the South Carolina Communications Director for Presidential Candidate, Senator Cory Booker. She served for eleven years as the News & Community Affairs Director for SummitMedia Greenville and now has a featured segment, “Rhonda’s Raise the Praise” on the radio show “Pastor Lenny’s Praise Party” which airs on Rejoice 96.9 in Greenville and in over 20 markets across the country. Rhonda is also a contributing writer for Community Journals.
Rhonda graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She currently serves on the Advisory Boards of Harvest Hope Food Bank and YMCA Teen Services and is a mentor in the “Women of Distinction” program with Furman University women’s basketball team. She is the proud mother to her son, Daniel.
Brandy Amidon is the Co-President and CFO of Brains on Fire, a creative agency that focuses on branding, identity, and community-centered marketing with offices in Greenville, SC and Los Angeles, CA. She has nearly two decades of experience leading teams towards individual and collective growth goals while leveraging her expertise in the financial sector to create stability and confidence for collective success. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Brandy also currently serves as the elected Mayor of Travelers Rest, South Carolina and is the first female and youngest Mayor in her hometown’s history. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Municipal Association of South Carolina and SC Appalachian Council of Governments. She’s been married for twenty years to Steven Amidon and they have a seven-year-old daughter.
Richard Bradshaw serves as President and Chief Banking Officer for United Community Bank. He is responsible for oversight and management of the bank’s diverse and substantial commercial lines of business, all retail bank office locations across the five-state footprint, and the fast-growing mortgage division. He brings more than twenty-five years of experience to his role. Prior to this position, he served as the head of the U.S. SBA Programs at TD Bank.
Rich is a retired, decorated Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve Intelligence Program and served five years of active duty as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and holds a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. He is the past president of the board of directors for the Greenville Symphony Orchestra and Greenville Literacy Association. Rich and his wife live in Greenville and have three adult children and two grandchildren.
