Proposal Process
- Hollingsworth Funds is using the Community Foundation of Greenville to help administer its community-wide application program. Guidelines and criteria used in the grantmaking process and the grant application are available only on the Community Foundation website.
- You must complete and submit the grant application by 4:00 pm on Friday, September 3, 2010. Click on the Online Grant Application below.
- Limit of one application per organization per year for either a Program/Project Grant or a Capital Project Grant.
- Forty-five percent (45%) of the annual income distributions are awarded annually on a competitive basis to 501(c)(3) organizations that operate or conduct affairs for the benefit of charitable uses within Greenville County or for the benefit of residents of Greenville County.
- The Community Foundation reviews each application to ensure that it is complete and verifies that the application is from a qualified charity that operates primarily for the benefit of residents of Greenville County. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- The Board of Directors of Hollingsworth Funds will determine which applications to fund based on the income it has to distribute, the number of applications it receives, and the impact its funding can have on the quality of life for residents of Greenville County.
- In some instances, a grant applicant may be asked to give a brief persentation to the Hollingsworth Funds Board of Directors or a committee it designates to assist in evaluating grant applications.

2010 Program/Project Grant Requests
Hollingsworth Funds is committed to the responsible allocation of its grant awards and will strive
to ensure that it does not supplant giving already available in the community. Charitable
organizations may submit an application for an amount not to exceed $50,000 to fund innovative
projects for the benefit of charitable uses within Greenville County, South Carolina, or for the
benefit of residents of Greenville County.
2010 Capital Project Grant Requests
Hollingsworth Funds defines a Capital Request as a proposal that seeks funding to purchase or
construct a new facility, renovate or add to a current facility, or purchase equipment with an
expected useful life of at least five years. As a general rule, capital grant requests should not
exceed 20% of the total capital campaign goal or $250,000.

Applications must be submitted online NO LATER than 4:00 pm in Friday, Setpember 3rd.
